Carb Tuning help
Hey Everyone, I was hoping to find someone here that wouldn't mind taking some time to help another member tune his q-jet. Its been gone through and rebuilt but something still isn't right and I don't know enough about the q-jet to accurately diagnose whats wrong (despite reading every q-jet thread here).
I have a garage full of tools and meals and beer are on me if you can help me out.

This is just a shot in the dark as you didn't give us a fault to diagnose, but if you replaced the parts in a rebuild kit, and the metering rods are good to go, I'd bet my cup of coffee on a float problem from my experience with these carbs (man! it's been a long time since I did a carburetor,LOL). The OEM float is a coated porous block that when scratched (or old) soaks gas and gets too heavy to maintain proper fuel levels in the bowls (it sinks!). Any auto parts store SHOULD be able to supply you with a hollow plastic version of the OEM float, that will work well for many years. I'm guessing that you are experiencing a flooding condition especially on startup (the carb emptied itself into the intake and any opened valve cylinder when parked).
