Default T-Storms Possible Hail?

I can't believe they are still having this. Latest forecast shows red rain cell right over where New Milford is for 2pm with winds and possible hail, going back to bed!

I was going to let the rain pass and the head over, but it looks like another big band of rain is in NY... Car shows in the rain, even less fun than race tracks in the rain. Hope you guys at least get a good lunch.

Raining now, I think I made a wise decision!

Also, was not happy that they would put me in Show for my 2014 Vette, I would have preferred Super Street. Being a female I am not cleaning my engine or under my car! I won the modified class at Candlewood for my 95 Vette the first year I went there in 2011 at the other location. This new Vette is way harder to clean, lots of nooks and crannies just like Thomas' English muffins! But way more fun to own and drive.
Please post back on how the show was. Anne

Every judged Corvette show I have ever been to has classified the current year Corvette in Show class. That's just the way it is. Next year, I believe you will be able to show in Super Street.

I agree that it was a good decision to NOT attend today. With a forecast like it was, it would have probably been a good choice to go with the rain date.

Thanks Elaine for the info, at least my baby is very clean now! Next year is fine with me.

From the picture that was posted, not many did show up and after all those hours of cleaning I am surprised anyone showed up. Agree they should have postponed it.

Despite all the rain and cleaning my car 3 times, once it passed at 11:30am it turned out to be a beautiful day. My car is now thoroughly clean, and a good time was had by all those who showed.

MelWff, I babied it home and threw it up on ramps, got the strut rods adjusted to where they should be and loctite'd them so hopefully they'll stay putt his time!

Default candlewood club show

After the downpour, we re-cleaned and sat in the hot sun.... seemed like a long afternoon, but it was worth it. Good folks good cars, and a trophy or two to add to the Posse horde. Great meeting Paco and seeing some of the posse after a long hiatus. looking forward to Mystic in Oct. ( did suck to have to clean 3 times...)

I would guess there were about 50 cars there.

Everyone in the Posse won an award and the Posse won the award for having the most members of one club there.

I came in second to the only car that was trailored in and was a true show car. He juuust edged me out and he won best in show.

I've never been to a car show like that ( because of the weather ) but the people were nice and I enjoyed been with our group.

Will be looking forward to Rhode Island on 10 August.

Weds is going to be a nice sunny day, for those you who are in the area come on over to Hooters in Manchester, be nice to meet some of you in person.
They usually give out 2 trophies; 1 older vette and 1 newer vette.
Maybe I'll see some of you there; I have the 2014 Convertible Night Race Blue.

Forgot to mention the time: 4:30 till 8:30, I will be there around 5:30 due to hair appt, LOL Usually they start blocking off the parking lot around 3:30 so you can come earlier to beat the traffic. I've been taking the back roads cuz I hate I84 East during that time. Hope you can come.
