Almost got a Viper but ....
It turns out the deal was too good to be true. I had a friend of mine refer me to a dealer in RedBank, where I placed a call to trade in the Z06 .. turns out my payments would be even higher, for a car that's almost 5 years old ... a 97 GTS they had there ... so I thought about it all day ... called my buddy Chris NJ C5 (another clown shoe owner) - and decided to stick it out with the Z. Yeah, I know - once you're gone Vette, you'll never go back to anything more. I will be test driving the thing just for kicks, maybe even smoking one pretty soon, after the "Bliss" package gets done ... :smash: :lol:

Spend the money on financial planning classes.
You will never get out of debt if you trade you car in every year. Of course a 5 year old car is going to cost you more in payments, you 'd be paying for both.

So you are asking him to sell his car and get a house since he was going to trade in his Z06. First to just buy the house you would have to have the job for 5 years at the same company, second spend 10K on closing fees and other fees. Then you can think of buying the house.
I say GET the VIPER before you'll be to old and scared to drive it. :jester
