Default Lake George Area

I live on Long Island. I have no front license plate on my C7. So far ive been lucky haven't been stopped.
Next week im going on vacation for a week in lake George and im taking the C7.
Should I put the front plate on ? I really dont want too.I also don't want to be pulled over up there.

I've spent a lot of time upstate in the vette - have never had a front plate and never been pulled over. It's a ticket if you are - don't know the fine, but to me it would be worth the price (maybe I would put the plate on after paying the fine once).
I have a removable front plate bracket - I keep the plate in the cubby in back and would offer to put it on if I was pulled over. Don't know how the C7 front plate works though.
In my experience, the front plate in NYS is not a priority to LEO's. YMMV

I've spent a good amount of time in the Lake George area over the past several years & have never had a problem with no front plate....but then again, all it takes is one LEO who's having a bad day!

I wouldn't worry about it if you do get written up. Just a fine no points, pay it and move on. Life is simply too short to worry about such petty nuances

I live just South of LG and frequent the area often. Never have had a front plate and never have been pulled over for it. Corvettes definitely get some leeway up here. And if you happen to get stopped for speeding, they typically will give you a non point ticket for no plate instead of a speeding ticket. Believe me, I know!!

I too live in upstate NY, travel regularly in my C4 and now C6 with no front plate. In 12 years I've yet to be pulled over for not having a front plate. Speeding well.....

There are some really nice roads, that are much less crowded on the back (east) side of the Lake.

I live about 30 minutes from Lake George; go through it and the surrounding area all the time.

On my 6 Vette now over a 25 year period and never had a plate problem. Been asked about it a few times when being stopped or driving through a checkpoint. Tell them is in the back and that’s been the end of it.

I just went through the village today about 3 hours ago and no probelomo
