Bought my vette elsewhere and Im scheduled for my first oil change at Paramus Chevy in a couple of weeks. Anybody with experience with them. Im just a little nervous...
I swung by there a few weeks ago because I'm new to this area. They told me they have 3 certified Corvette techs there. The Chevy dealer in Chicago that I went to only had one so they seem legit to me
I have no personal experience with either. Doing a web search it appears that Paramus sells more corvettes, hence my decision. Is Schumacher a better dealer??? Let me know...
Paramus did warranty work on my c5 when I had it. That was years ago, but they were good then.
had a minor warranty claim on my '07 I was satisfied,
they definitely sell more than Schumacher and a much larger service dept
Rt.17 can be a traffic headache depending what time of day try to pick up before rush hour if sitting in traffic bothers you. lol.
Paramus definitely sells more corvettes but schumacher i believe still holds the record for most sold units on average in nj. Meaning all cars, not just corvettes.
And if you ever been there, it's a tiny store but that place bumps. Every time i was there it was packed. Besides the one night i had to pick up my extra fob, it was 20 minutes before closing and no one was really there but the other times i was there, packed.
Can't really comment on their service dept but sales people are very friendly.
Route 17 traffic can really blow if you end up there at the wrong time. I used to commute that everyday when i was going to school in mahwah. Sometimes it would take me 2 hours to get home when usually its supposed to be 50 minutes.
Sales is HORRID but service is great. The tech you want there is John Casey, they have worked on my Z06 and been good so far
I don't know how they even sell anything to be honest. When I was shopping for a z06 they were literally 10k higher than anything else. I suspect it's repeat customers and old guys that can't really see that well.

Same experience when I was shopping, went elsewhere...
Sales is horrible. I didn't buy my Vette there because when my wife and I went there, sales dept told me no one was available for a test drive. I wasn't a kid, I was 34 and had $5,000 cash for a deposit. Multi Chevrolet in Union was very happy the next day.
Regarding the Service dept., went there a couple of times with the 2 different Vettes I had, always top notch. I would recommend them.
34 is a kid in Vette years for buying a new Vette. I was about the same age when I got my Vette at Kerbeck, I was my sales guy youngest buyer that year. And all they do is sell Vettes, so that should tell you something.
The avg age of a new buyer use to be some where around 50 years old.

Went yesterday to Paramus. I gotta say, they were excellent. Used Moble1, waiting area was clean and had a TV and Coffee, in and out in about an hour, got home and checked my oil level, and it was right between the hash marks. I could not be Happier...

I wasn't in the New car section. I was checking out used ones.

I drove my first vette there, a used c5 when I was 19. Maybe they didn't like your face kidding, kidding
Sales there sucks though, look elsewhere.
Was a thread last year, average age of a c6 owner was 55. When I went to ECS I was their youngest customer, ever. At the Ocean City Maryland Boardwalk weekend I was again the youngest guy there. I enjoy it though, people my age are too busy looking at the now instead of the future.
