Personal opinion. It is more of a resource hog and people will lots of times get aggravated when a site just will not GO when you want it to. I have them turned off in my options because of that. :)

How is it turned off on you side. I just found how to do yesteday and it is with a metatag.

Weird I see them on my home PC not on my work laptop though. that said They look sharp but the charm will wear off fast I think and it kinda bugs your eyes out as well. :seeya

If you go to Tools --> Internet Options --> Advanced, you can take a checkmark out of "Enable Page Transitions" to turn them off. :)
