Parking Vette in Philadelphia area for a work event?
I have a work event next week in the Philly area, will be near the South Broad Street and Chestnut area.
Will be there afternoon through the evening (hosting a March Madness Dinner for some clients), and I think it could be a nice ride from NY in my new Vette if the weather cooperates, except for my OCD about parking my car.
Can anyone tell me if the parking situation would be okay for someone with OCD about parking ? (i.e. no valet, looking to park it myself in a lot and find a nice corner all by itself)
Or should I just go in my daily driver?
Thanks!

If you have to I actually know of one really nice parking garage. It's actually guarded by police too and it's aweet garage that will work for you. It's right near the convention center. Remember....no matter what time you think you will arrive plan for traffic. I'd add an extra hour to your trip for traffic and parking....maybe more if you want to be 100%sure you're on time.

If you want a stress free trip to the City of Brotherly Love, leave your Corvette home and take some other form of transportation.

Forget about the parking, I was in Philly at the end of the Winter last year, there are potholes that can swallow a Vette.

The above comment about pot holes understates the problem. People will speed down Chestnut, Market, Broad Street only to have to REALLY jam on the brakes to not rip out their under carriage on a pothole and then the guy behind you hits his brakes and horn. Not fun. take the train, get off at 30th Street and either Uber to center city or take the bus/subway. Short ride.

I would not drive a nice car to philly, def wouldn't park there! I usually use a garage near the jewelry district. Last visit i used a garage where i guy parks it, he destroyed two wheels on my vw.
Like everyone else is saying, don't do it

I live outside Philadelphia in the northwest suburbs. I would never drive my Corvette into downtown, NEVER. Regardless of secure parking, buses and idiot drivers will give you a large headache and that's before you arrive.

If you simply must drive it.....................
Drive to the the Woodcrest Station of the PATCO High Speed Line in Cherry Hill, New Jersey off of I-295. It is a 20 minute train ride to your destination from there, and you can usually find a good enough corner spot for the Vette in the speed line parking lot.
I agree with the others; avoid taking it into town for all of the reasons cited.

There is a good lot mid block at 15th and Locust where you can get a spot between pillars if you are early enough or go high enough. Used to use it for work all the time. Between 15th and 16th. Bellevue lot also has some nice cars in it but harder to find a good spot.

Thanks all! Based on the advice here, Vette stays home nice and safe in its garage.
Thanks for all the input and advice!
