The only waves down here at the Jersey Shore are in the ocean! Never get a wave from other Vette drivers like in the "old days."
Have to agree with my fellow NJ driver. Believe me am trying to keep it alive. It just is so discouraging getting puzzled looks in return. The exception, to that, is passing by another mid-year. Then it is like a reunion, waves, thumbs up, horn toot, or sometimes stopping to converse.
I try to keep the wave alive every time I see a vette, even f I'm in my work truck or wife's minivan. Its reall hard to get someone to wave back when I'm one of my those but it reminda me of the time I waved to another vette driver and the maildelivery person who saw my wave from across the street, thought I was waving at them as they were delivering the mail. Well, that person followed me home and tried to rape me. I got out of it by telling him that I perfer farm animals.
A different culture, but as decades long boat owner I found that waveing especially to owners of same make boats was almost SOP. Some of that has died over the years. Like minded people enjoying things they love to do, just part of the fun.
