MA: Engine Builder for a '74 350
So my girlfriend's father has a '74 coupe with a 350 and has always wanted to build it into a 383 stroker with a bit more power than stock. The motor is getting a bit long in the tooth and could use a rebuild. My girlfriend and I are planning to surprise him with a motor this fall so that he can put it in over the winter. Does anyone have a local shop or machine shop that they would recommend near Metro-west Boston? My trusted tuner (Don @ slowhawk) does not touch anything carbureted and did not have any recommendations. Intended use will be cruising, spirited driving, and trips so it needs to be reliable and not too extreme.

they used to build our race engines and did some work on a couple of my street engines.... they rebuild engines from old to new...and I think they are esp sharp on small blocks...he son holds or has recently held some national NHRA class records....Father is Jim Reid...son is Jim Jr.
