Default DYNO-DAY...22 April 2017..For Posse & Friends.

DYNO-DAY...22 April 2017...For the Posse & Friends...

Well....it's getting to be that time of year. Our steeds are itchin' to run.

As usual, this is the Posse's first "official" event of the year.

ANYONE can join us for this fun day and they can bring ANY TYPE CAR.

DYNO-DAY will be held on Saturday, 22 April, 2017.

Location will be : ESP, 12 Beverly Drive, Sterling, Mass. 01564.....they have a Mustang Dyno...We will start running the cars at 9:15 am.

The cost for 3 runs is 60 dollars , but note...we need TEN cars for this price to hold. If we get less than 10 cars price will be 75 dollars ( same as last year ) also note: pricing for AWD cars is 75 dollars ( usually 100 dollars).

All attendees are required to sign a waiver at the start of the day. No cars will be put on the dyno without signing the waiver, no exceptions!

Bring cash to pay......bring a chair.....bring a few cigars....

There will be no rain date. We are the Posse, not the pussies.

WHAT YOU GET:

* 3 runs or 2 runs plus a quarter mile run.

* Charts/graphs of your run.

* Lunch...consisting of hot dogs/hambergers/soda/etc. (free)

* Checking out cars at different stages of assembly.

* A good time....sharing lies and stories and stogies and sniffing the smell of horsepower.

The itinerary is as follows :

* Breakfast at Rein's Deli at 7 am

.....http://www.reinsdeli.com/default.aspx

Those that do not want breakfast, we will be leaving the Deli parking lot at 8 am sharp; or you can meet us at the speed shop in Mass.

* We will caravan to Mass.( approx. 1 hour 15 minutes ) : we will stop at a Duncan Donuts located near our final destination, and then proceed 5 minutes to Beverly Drive, arriving at 9:15.

We always have a good time. Looking to get a minimum of 10 cars to dyno.....cut off will be 15 cars. If you are going to sign up please put it in your calender in INK, not pencil.

Looking forward to a seeing ' that ol' gang of mine' and meeting some new people.

NOTE: There will be trophy's for.........'best' dressed ( I shall select this lucky individual ).......Lowest quarter mile time.......Highest horsepower.......Peoples choice.

This is in my backyard!

I've never done a dyno day (or dyno). What exactly is the benefit other than knowing your HP? I don't suppose there's any tuning??? I have to put my exhaust on and now it sounds like I need to do it sooner rather than later!

edit: I just checked out their website about tuning, so I have my answer.

2nd edit: I'm a tentative (depending on what I get for an answer from the shop about tuning).

I understand. As soon as I hear back from the shop, I'll let you know.

Better yet, I'll do it anyway! Please put me in for dyno only.

My plan was to have my 64 together by then, and probably will.

Problem is April 22 is my daughter's birthday...... So I may miss this gathering.

Well, I was planning on leaving for Florida on the 18th. But how can I do that now? Must see if the mustang dyno can verify Ray's.

Unless any of you C-6 Z's have a surprise for me, YOU know what honors I am looking for!

Count me in for the Dyno but no breakfast. Will see you all at Reins before 8 AM. Anyone have an easy pass available?

The Blue Streak.

Frank,
A victory can only be measured by the strength of the competition. Any chance you will rethink your dyno duty? Otherwise you'll be missed.

K.....do not underestimate Frank.

He read Sun Tzu, " The Art of War".....the books main tenents were the use of speed and deception.

If I were you...I would put your head on a swivel and be ready for thunderbolts coming from where you least expect.

Be prepared.
