Dropped the new engine in today.
Was making good progress until one of the caps dropped off a U-joint and I lost one needle bearing.....
Off to the parts store in the morning.
Got under the car all buttoned up today, stock exhaust for now until I get all the bugs worked out. Motor mounts and trans mount tightened up, starter wired up, driveshaft, clutch mechanism, etc..... Heater hoses hooked up, plug wires run, battery in.

Paul- to be a bad influence, how about making a dual-mode exhaust, stock rear exit for quiet driving, then electric diverters to the side-pipes unmuffled? I've been looking at my 72 with this idea if I put the big motor in it.

That's already the plan once I'm satisfied everything is running well. Much easier to hear what's going on with the engine with the quiet exhaust.
