Default Shifting the 7 speed manual transmission

I have a new 2017 Stingray with the 7 speed manual transmission. I'm not used to having this many shift positions in a car. So, is it OK to drive around town in 4th or 5th and use 6th and 7th for highway driving?

I think i used 7th gear in my Z maybe twice ever.

I usually just keep it in 6th and cruise from 65-70mph. I tend to drive slow so maybe that's why i don't need to cruise in 7th lol. As long as you're not just cruising at like 3000rpm, i think it's safe to say you'll be fine in 5th or 6th.
