Hey Tom,

Thank you for choosing XPEL to protect your new Corvette. As the 3rd most popular model we protect, we know them extremely well. Our XPEL DAP Software Pre-Cut Kits will fit the car with precision. As far as coverage goes, we would highly recommend getting the full front end, and the rocker panels protected. This does include the area behind the rear tire as the tires throw up rocks on that panel. Once you get the XPEL installed, then you could always put a ceramic coating on top of it if that's something you were also considering, just be sure to get the XPEL first and then put the ceramic coating on top.

Check out this install video of XPEL ULTIMATE being installed on a C7R to give you a better idea of the installation process. -

Additionally, you can click this link to take you to our XPEL Dealer Locator to track down a certified installer nearest you. - XPEL Installer Locator.

That said, be sure to narrow it down to 2 or 3 shops and then go to their shop in person if you can. Not only will this let you gauge their workmanship / install quality, but also get a feel for their customer service which is important.

Hope this info helps, let us know if we can answer any other questions.

Thanks for the reply and I would have someone install it as not a project I would want to get into at all. Does the ceramic coating go on before or after the Xpel. Thanks again. Tom

Hey Tom,

You'd want to put the XPEL on first, and then the ceramic coating on top. If you were to put the coating underneath, it could interfere with the adhesion of the film over time causing it to lift. Plus, if you put it on top you get the best of both worlds - the protection from the XPEL, and the hydrophobic properties of the ceramic coating.
