Some pretty impressive numbers! I didn't get my car back together until late yesterday, and even with that, still needs to be retuned. Seeing those other two '99's.... looks like I still have some modding to do 347/346 and 379/365, nice job guys!
Still bummed I couldn't make it, mainly because I'm curious as to where I'm at, but glad I didn't go up against any of you! There's always next year (and more time to save and mod)
It was good to see everyone. Thank you Dave for setting up, John for the pics and Chris for the video. As always a great time.
And next yr will even be better.
Actually I stopped by and spoke with Paul at Total Induction Tuning Solutions on Monday. He said the damp drizzle conditions in the morning had kept horsepower results down. Later that day it dried out and the dense dry air generated percentage wise higher numbers for the cars he ran at that time. His exact words to me were " Those Corvette guys got screwed. The afternoon results would have been noticeably higher". So our numbers are slightly better than they looked though the relative comparisons are still accurate.
Hope to see you next year. It is a great event. I am already planning some tweaks for next year.

This was a really fun post to read, great seeing pics and even a video of my old car. I do miss it sometimes, it's such a raw beast. Joaquin, glad to see it's still running strong and right in line with similar cars, still sounds and looks the best too! Really fascinating to see the comparison with John's K501 cam, which would certainly make more HP up top with headers, but less torque. John, I can't believe how much your car pops and burbles with stock headers/exhaust. Sounds surprisingly good and I bet it's pretty tame inside with the valves closed. It's a nice setup. All the best and I hope to see you guys at some shows this year.

Bill, as John calls it, the Beast is doing very well. Too bad the air was very wet that morning or the numbers would have been compatible with when the Beast was tuned. Just about 5 percent off on hp and a little more on torque. But it is definitely the best sounding Vette. It is important to note the area below both curves is huge for the torque. These areas are compatible with the ones in the curves you provided me with. The Beast has really been fun to drive. I always have a smile
when I am in it. And do not worry I am taking good care of the Beast. Hope you are doing well.
