Hopefully it’s not a complete wash out tomorrow.

On Friday, about half the normal smaller parts vendors there. Not many big vendors like Al Knoch. Hot, nasty thunderstorms. Not too crowded and not too many people wearing masks which makes the event some what iffy.

Anyone hear what the attendance numbers were this year? I’m guessing about 1/3 of the past couple years.

That's great to hear that the rain held off for most of the day on Saturday. Based on Thursday's weather forecast for the weekend, I was worried that Saturday would be a bust due to rain so I took Friday off of work and went up there for the day. It was nice being back at Corvettes @ Carlisle once again; it had been a few years since I made the trip. The vendor and overall show attendance was what I was expecting, but I still enjoyed the day and not having to fight the crowds in the parts aisles! lol

I just can't look at those "aerovettes" and say they're a Corvette. Corvette base, yes, but NOT a Corvette to me. If you want a station wagon.......go buy one. Those things are freaks.

And did you all read in the program that Sundays are basically discontinued for 2021? If you have a stub from any of the other days, you can get in free, and there are only about 3 or 4 hours on Sunday to attend, so the show is pretty much over on Saturday. I just hope the vendors, etc. don't start pulling out early, and make Saturday like Sundays used to be. Guess that's why they started the show on Thursdays a couple years back so that they could work their way up to eliminating Sundays altogether. Back to 3 days instead of 4.

I think future Saturdays will remain strong, assuming the weather holds out for those days. The anchor of the weekend event on Saturdays will be the Saturday Night Corvette Parade, so i feel most attendees will stay long into the day on Saturday. Sure some smaller vendors will pack up after lunch on Saturday, since many folks will leave the fairgrounds as they prepare for the parade, but it's no different than the current vendors that leave Saturday afternoon now. Thursdays are the new Sunday, and while it was not like the Corvette giveaways in the past (must be present to win), if they continue to raffle off a Corvette and announce the winner live on Saturday afternoon, that should help keep folks on site. They awarded the a red C8 at 4pm on Saturday, the winner was from Arizona!

Yeah, those Corvette based wagons have always been unique looking; this was the first time that I ever saw the Callaway version in person. I remember seeing a C3 Corvette modified with the Greenwood SportWagon kit as a kid and thinking that it was odd. The one thing I can say is that the Callaway versions seem well made; a lot better that any of the C3 versions I remember seeing back in the day. I'm a big fan of Tri-Five Nomads and I really like the 1954 autorama concept car.

I haven't had a chance to read through the program yet, but I agree with you! I hope the vendors don't pack up early like they seemed to do on Sundays.

Very true about the parade; that should keep people around for sure.

I swung by your car a couple of times on Friday and must have missed you; it made me miss my Z16/Z06.
