Event The 18th Annual Corvettes for Kids show is benig held on August 10 11:00 AM to 4:00 Pm at the Washington Elementary School on Rt 100 in Bally. This is a charity event and the proceeds go to help an area family with a child with secere medical problems. This is a well supported event and several years ago they had more than 125 Corvettes in the rain. The judges are the disabled kids and it is rewarding to just watch them looking at the cars. It is usually hot but there is a neat ice cream store across the street. They have both a silent and a general auction with items donated by the community that range from antiques, passes to Camelback Ski Area to a load of gravel. It is a neat show and we hope to see some Forum Members there. Pre registeration closed July 4 but drive in registrations are accepted DOS.

Sounds like a nice event. Do you have directions to get there? I will be coming from Delaware county. I am hoping the weather will be nice I need to go for a ride.
Turn right onto Rt 663 towards Pennsburg/Pottstown
In Pennsburg, turn right onto Rt 29 N
At Rt 100 turn left. About 4 or 5 miles will be the town of Bally. Go past the Chevy dealer and at the next light will be Washington Elementary School .
That's where Corvettes for Kids is. :hurray:
Total time from turnpike to Corvettes for Kids is about 15 minutes.
My wife and I will be there rain or shine with our black '77.

( if this is too far "right" and want to come in from the "left" get onto rt 73N and turn right onto rt 100 in Gilbertsville )
Wayne, If you are coming from Brookhaven an aternate route would be to pick up the 422 Expressway at King of Prussia and take it to rt 100 North at Pottstown. 100 North for about 8 miles through Boyertown and you will see the show on the right side just before you get to Bally. Hope to see you there.
Bob
It was nice to meet Wayne ( wayne_69_427 ), ram82fire and Bob & his wife Millie (nu2gm) at today's Corvettes for Kids. I'm going to "guessimate" that that was about 250 Corvettes there today.
Now we have some faces to put with the screen names
I have to agree with Jeff ,,,,,,, it was great to put some faces with the posters on this forum . This is the first time for me to meet other members , I wore a corvette forum T shirt in hopes that I would . It was great chatting with Jeff and his lovely wife , and also Wayne . Wayne that roadster is just beautiful .
It was nice talking to ram82fire about the old days at the GM training center I have not thought about that stuff for 15 years. I love the weber set up, if it runs as good as it looks its a winner. You car is like mine 1/2 Corvette and !/2 Hot Rod the only way to go. I had a nice lively ride home. It was nice to talk to Jeff and his wife and nu2gm. My I see you at Kahunaville some Sunday we still have to check that out.
Hey Wayne ,,, The kahunaville idea sounds more tempting the more I think about it . Perhaps a get together as fall starts to get underway ! BTW you vette is drop dead gorgeous ,,,,,,,,,,, and my car runs about the same as a c5 ,don't ask how I know .
Glad to have met fellow forum members at the show. This show is a feel good show especially when you learn about the kid and family that benifits from the proceeds. I read that last year they were able to give more than $58, 000 to the family. It was unfortunate that this year's kid was unable to attend but he is in the hospital with some complications. We pray for his speedy recovery. Millie and I hope to see you again soon. We keep trying to make the Second Sunday Northeast Forum Events.
