Default CHRISTMAS PARTY IDEAS NEEDED

OK :smash: I know this is early BUT it will be here before we know it!
I'm looking for ideas and help to put this year's event together.
Do we want to go as simple as last year was? OR more like a banquet?
Does anyone have any connections or suggestions with location?
Should we rent a hall or find a resturant to handle it?
I also wanted to put this out early so if we have to collect $$$ to reserve a place it would be a good idea to get started. I would like to start by throwing out a target date of 12/6.
SO WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK?

I'd like to go a little more up-scale this year. Not too fancy, but not a pizza joint. A place that is nicely decorated for the season, good menu, and a private room for us. Centrally located, but not near any traffic zoos like Peddlar's Village or the King of Prussia Mall area.

Rex, depending on where you hold it, I may be interested in attending. Not sure what type of theme you are looking for, but then again not real familiar with the restaurant choices in your neck of the woods anymore (moved away from South Jersey about 23 years ago). Depending on the number of folks expected, maybe you could arrange for a banquet room at one of the local hotel/motel/lodges?

You can count me in for 2 people. December 6 sounds like a good date. As far as suggestions to where to go, let me think about that for a little bit and I'll post again!

For those who don't know, we are looking for a location that is less than an hour drive for most members. Not an easy task, but somewhere near the Jersey/PA border, just don't know which side of the river yet.

Here's an idea for you guys. To make this easy and cheap, we can find a diner in PA. My friends live there and we once went to one in saylorsburg, 13 adults, 5 kids, full meals came out to $150.

Just something to think about.

Mr Mojo, my intention to attend is genuine, I was merely saying that if you guys had decided to hold the party in the Poconos or in northern NJ I would be less likely to attend. If it is in the southern NJ/S.E. PA area, my intention is that I would attend (thus the comment on "depending where")...

How about Hooters?
Do it on the 20th (Hooters is having their 20th anniversary celebration) of December and we get 20% off!

Anywhere in Northern NJ.

That place we had the brunch last Saturday looked like it could hold 500 people.

94th Aero Squadron, now called Flatspin on Red Lion Rd just east of US1 is a popular place. No traffic hassles, good parking lot too.

Good sit down served food, & a dance club.

You can count me and the wife in for the party.

Mrs Rogue Wave just started working near Princeton. I'll see if she can come up with some ideas.
