I NEED YOUR INPUT ABOUT SATURDAY
What would you do, we have about 60 confirmed for 12/6 Saturday's Christmas Party.
Saturday now is a winter storm watch.
I'm inclined to continue as planned, unless at noon on Saturday there is 6" of snow on the ground.
Should we postpone the party?
If we postpone should we:
1. Reschedule for next Saturday
2. Reschedule after the Holidays (early Jan)
3. Other?
What do think is the latest to make that call?
Give me some input here!

I'm gunna play it by ear.. I'm not up for driving that far in a blizzard. 4 wheel drive or not, I dont think it would be worth it. I'm a 'maybe'

If i'm really bored, i may cruise up there in my crappy beater car.... i can't justify taking the 'vette.... but i wasn't really on the list anyway :)

i'm in no matter what, besides i have those head-side air bags to test in the Saturn. :D I think we should see what tomorrow night brings and make the call then aroun 6:00 - this way if people are coming a distance, then they can call and cancell hotels. Next saturday i don't think we have anything.

I, the eternal optimist (isn't anyone who buys a Corvette?) think we will be okay - AccuWeather says no snowfall after 3:00 Saturday...

I'm bringing the daily beater and since we have reservations for the night nearby I plan on getting out early in the afternoon. That is my plan anyway.
I think [hope] the major highways (Interstates, Turnpike, Parkway) will be driveable. Might have to travel at sub light speeds, but driveable. :lol:
But then I wonder if the restaraunt will be open.
Anyway, at this point in time I am planning on attending.
Maybe we can wait and see how the weather is tomorrow (Friday) and what the forecast for Saturday looks like later in the day. :)

Hey John you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men. Just finished watching Action News and they are calling for 6 to 10 inches up that way. We may have to wait until Sat. to see if the resturant is going to stay open. You might want to check with the resturant to see what their chain of thought is, as they may no have enough help if it gets bad.

latest reports from accuweather are for 6-10 inches and may snow up until sunday now. lower amounts in southern nj and possibly higher amounts in northern nj. :eek: :cuss

AccuWeather now says no snow after 4:00 PM Saturday...
...but a total of 7 to 12 inches between Friday and Saturday...

We have plans for next weekend. If you reschedule, Jan would be better for us.
Remember what I said about my Z-Chains ??? :bb
They are calling for 10" to 16" of accumulation around me by Saturday noon. We have dogs to board and have to give 24 hours cancellation notice. I think we are going to have to bail. :cry
I should never have said anything about those darned chains... :sad:
