WOW!

What a show. 421 cars... Now don't anyone take this the wrong way, because I love em all, but this is the only show I do where there are far more older cars than newer ones. I guess I'm just hooked on those ratty old BB's!

You know the saying - time flies when you're having fun... Well yesterday, the show just flew by! When they were giving out the trophies at the end, I felt cheated that it was over so soon. Oh well, there's always next year. BTW, the weather was absolutely perfect.

And talk about a small world, we got to meet the CF Northeast "gang" while we were there. Turns out that I had already met dbl y2k and his wife at VATB two years ago. Also, we did a Corvette Plant tour with chuck1026 at the CF Cruise-In this May, so I recognized him as well. Plus, got to meet Pitt, and finally, Lord Vette! Real nice group of folks...

Rob, you would have been only the second ZO6 car, far as I could tell. Tons of BB's though... I was thinking of you on the ride up when when I was dusting that new Rustang GT with my '71! (Yea really!!!)

C-ya all next year, or hopefully, at Fall Skyline...

Jim, it was great meeting you, Linda, & everyone else that came down in your group. I wish I could have spent more time chatting with you and the gang, but as you know it was a busy packed day. I still didn't get to see all the fantastic cars that were there! Hopefully we can all do it together again next year. Thinking about the fall Skyline cruise. Will talk with the other Northeast CF members about it.

Hey Jim, regarding the old/new Vettes, just remember if us old people did not buy the new ones, there would be no old ones for you "young" guys, j/k of course. Gotta keep on the good side of you so you don't put me up in some flea bag motel for the Skyline thing. Thought for getting a "late" start we ended up with a pretty good parking spot. Now that you mentioned the ZO-6 thing it was strange only one. Also surprised at the lack of "For Sale" Vettes. Great show, Great cars, Great people!!! Paul.

paul, are you speaking of the lack of 'for sale' corvettes at the Vettes at the Beach? the car corral had several that I know of in it. They were way down on the side towards the canal and amusement park. They had to have a special supplied sign in the window this year.

Frankly Paul, I think it's the other way around... If it weren't for all us old "work horse" cars, there wouldn't be any new ones for you guys... (Now don't go putting the cart before the horse - us old farts came first...)

But like I said, I like them all!

BTW, rumor has it that the picture guy screwed you up on your shirt sizes. Did you know you can go to http://showtimephoto.com and order the correct sizes? We deecided that we wanted shirts, so I ordered them. Quick and easy...

I'm ready for next year already!

C-ya at Skyline! And don't worry, you won't need a flea collar... :yesnod:
