I talked with John today and he told me about a little run it he had with a oversize mirror this past Tuesday.
In the process of dismounting it from a wall the F*#%*# broke in-half and sliced his arm up pretty good. Seems it cut a few nerves but it didn't get the bone and he should be back in shape shortly.
Thanks Will and everyone else
Sometimes we think we are indestructable. I had no idea that the mirror would split like that. When it split the top part came down on the underside of my right forearm, severing an artery and 2 nerves, creating a horseshoe shape filet on my arm. Thank God someone was home to help me and keep pressure on it. Once in the ER I underwent surgery by an Orthopaedic for 2 hours. Unbeleveabily I have very little pain probably due to severing the nerves. Fortunately the nerves will grow back in 6 - 10 months. The doc said I can shift so no automatic is in my future and MOJO thanks for the offer but I can still drive the Z!
ANYONE removing a mirror should have a glass company come in to do it!
sorry to hear about your accident.hope the recovery will be as short as possible. i know there wont be a next time, but maybe you could ask your friends on the forum for advice first before you try to kill yourself. i just happen to own a glass company, so i know what you are going thru. take care of yourself, we need you! thx, jim....
