It was a nice day,I'll have to go back up there and see more of the area. Maybe check out that tower!

Rick, we'll have to see the next time the Pats play the Packers. Of course if they play like they did yesterday it won't be much of a game!

Are there any vette shops up in the Kingston-Warwick area? Met a guy at Dave's that was a Packer fan and said there were several cruise nights in the area. Turns out his friend is a vette guy too.

Gary,
Pats don't play the Packers this year...unless it is in the bowl!

I don't know of any specialized Vette shops in the area. A few other forum members in the area and myself usually do all of our work ourselves. (Replacing my opti, water pump, and intake gasket this week) Do you have a problem with your Vette?

As for cruise nights...there pretty much is one every night of the week. All of them usually draw a lot of Vettes out. Most of them are finished for the season by now though. We go to a few here and there...but we usually prefer to just take a nice cruise...rather than sit at a cruise night! We have a core group of 4-5 Vettes that cruises together...sometimes we get up to 8. It's a good time.

Rick,
The Pats may make it back to the SB, but I sure wouldn't count on the Packers being there unless they get tickets!
I do all my own work too but only onthe C2 & C3 cars. Never worked on a C4 or C5. I asked because I'm not familar with the area and since my son goes to URI I'll be around there in the future. He has a nice 400 hp 75 coupe. He has rebuilt the rear end, tranny and engine with me and would be able to work in a shop part time while up there.

You're already tied up to your car!
You better dump that 69 money pit and get the Z06, then you'll have time for the "chicks",unless you get "all beered up" and wreck the Z06

Hmmm......don't know of any Corvette specialty shops really. I am sure he could find a local garage that could use a part time hand. I think there are a few small gas stations around the school. Not sure though.

Well, I'd like to check out this 400 hp beast some time....so let me know when you're in the area! My 67 Chevelle is pushing around 550 hp...with the big block in it. Runs 10.80's in the quarter. Putting some serious power to it over the winter though. Bought a new crank to stroke it to 493. Big cam going in. Hoping for 9.80's or better...ALL motor!

Just fooling with you kid. You get the head fixed? I have some old 327 heads but they would need rework.

Rick,
I'll let you know if I bring the up car to URI one day. I don't know though because it's a nice 12 mpg car on the highway! plus it kills my back on some days If we don't meet in RI then we also have a great vette show every July in Guilford CT, about an hour from you.

The show at Moroso? I always miss that one every year because it conflicts with my National Guard drill!
