NJ State inspection?
Have other Jersey C4s experienced the same trouble with that test?

when I pulled up, all of the inspection employees HAD to checkout the "pace car vette" that just pulled in.
As they are starting the inspection, one guy says "you know, we have a rule here......... If you pass, you have to do a burnout"
I said "Ummmmm....... OK"
(now, I figured that I would fail for tires because my front tires are pretty much bald on the inside tread and the rears are down to the wear indicators! I am planning on getting new tires next year :o .)so they start the "inspection" and the only things that they actually checked were the Headlights, horn, e-brake, and brakes! NO emissions test!, NO "tire shaker" test!, they didn't even look the car over very well! usually they are checking underneath the car with mirrors.
last time I went there they tested everything!
At the end the girl comes out holding up the new sticker and says... "look, it's purple and matches your car!"
and she then said "that guy over there says, you know the rule?" I said "ok" as long as there aren't any cops around, they said "the cops never come back here" so they all lined up at the rear of the inspection station, I pulled up and away from the rear exit and proceded to do a nice smokey burnout with my practically bald rear goodyear runcraps!
it was the best inspection "experience" that I have ever had!

I went early, one of the 1st that day. I struck up a conversation with the 'inspector' who liked the Vette. I passed without a problem.
