At the NJ Shore we are hovering around 10. I guess the water keeps us a bit warmer, but it looks like a Big Storm might be coming up the shore line by the weekend so it is time to get
Bread
Milk
Eggs
I wonder why these 3 things sell out the most - does everyone make French Toast when it snows?

My guess would be that they are staples, and perishables that get delivered to most supermarkets on a dally basis. If we get snow the deliver trucks can't get to the stores to restock. Things like can goods have a long shelf life and stocked.
This cold sucks.

well I would go with that logic if we lived in the time of horse and buggy, but I can't remember a time when in the NorthEast we could not get out of out house within a day or 2. People panic thinking that they will be stuck in for days when in reality it may be a day or 2 at most.
I do remember the Ice Storm back in the late 80s in Upstate NY that broke every tree branch and made the roads impossible to pass, but since that was upstate we could just walk out the chicken coupe and get fresh eggs.....
couldn't agree more. this arctic airs SUCKS! hopefully the storm misses us this weekend. these are certainly NOT ideal vette conditions!
I'm planning to fire up the beast just to get the juices flowing for a while. However, I'm not taking her out until late March when all the road salt is washed away.
