Default Time for new tires

I have run my original stock tires down, mostly from tracking at T Hill.
I won't be tracking the car that much for the rest of the year, so should I install the same stock tires?? I have a 07 Z-51 Mn6. Are there any good alternate tires I should look into? I am really looking for street tires. My track speed are to the point I need wheels and tires just for that. Any thoughts and advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am running Kuhmo V710 on my '03 for the track. I'm not sure if they come in C6 sizes, but if they do they are great tires and you will not be disappointed.

A lot of track guys tell me they like the Kuhmo tires. But I am looking to repalce my street tires. Thanks for the info.

Goodyear GS D3's. Non-runflat, quiet, great in the wet, better when dry, good wear rating (if you stay off the track). Try the Tire Rack unless you have a connection near home.

Do the Falken Azenis fit? I've heard they are the closest thing to track tires that actually are defined as street tires. Might be a good option to consider if you want a ton of traction.

Default Thanks to all

I appreciate the advice.

I've already had two flat conditions on the same tire. So I think I'll stay with the run flates for the street. I was on my way to Santa Barbara and we usually stay in Paso Robles half way down, in the morning DIC read flat tire. I had picked up a nail. Lucky for me the local tire shop had expierence with the run flats and got me back on the road in twenty minutes. I also carry a mini compressor.

Hey Ed,

Glad to hear you've tracked your tires to the max, but why are you ending your season so soon

Hopefully, I'll see you out there later this year.

The DS G3 comes in run-flat config also.

Hi Kevin,

I am doing the Marina Xcross this weekend, but family visits and remodeling project in Santa Barbara are keeping me really busy. Yes, I hope to see you out there too. I miss T Hill and I need track wheels and tires for my next HPDE. Keep in touch bro.

Ed
