Hoping you all can help out. I need a very experienced machine shop who does good work. I have an old lincoln 368 ci motor from '57. I need the crank machined to accept chevy 5.7 rods, and the heads worked to accept normal chevy valves. The crank is in good shape, but the block will need to be bored due to it sitting for years. If you know of anyone who can do this, is dependable and experienced let me know. Thanks
I had LESCO Racing engines in San Luis Obispo rebuild my 89 Corvette engine and they did an excellent job. Not cheap but I think they can do anything. I don't know the address but they have a website that will come up if you type in the above. You can e-mail them and they will tell you if they can do your job. Good luck.

Hey rasta thanks, i got a guy called Ed's cranks in Hayward lined up. Junior, from Industrial Machine, is a little leary of using some people around here. I could tell you some horror stories of the machine shop around the county, of course they will remain nameless.
Wicked! I was looking for you on the forum and couldn't remember your screen name. Do you guys do everything in shop? Heres the deal. I have 2 lincoln 368 Y blocks from 57. I'm going to have the cranks offset ground 1/8 and have the journals ground to SBC rod journal sizes. I'm also going to have the block worked 30 over and try to use sbc pistons because its a 4 inch bore. Have the heads machined to accept generic chevy 1.58 and 2.02 valves. Do you have experience in the older motors? I know a lot of machine shops will not touch old stuff, i have not been able to find anyone who would break it in and dyno it. They all seem to say no and hang up without getting another word in. I also have a blank cam that i need ground to my specs eventually.
I have to tell you though, i don't know if its the fact that i'm new to them or if they are just a$$holes to everyone, but a lot of shops and tuners are just jerks. So far the two that have actually taken the time to talk to me and get an understanding of what i want have sure won my business. I recently was looking for a tuner for a 69 camaro with a LS1 in it and no one would take the time to talk to me and listen to what i needed, that was until i called Nick at Newtech and now I just need to find the time and swing by. There were some places i called 3 and 4 times and got not call back, i guess customer service is non existent to some these days. I've looked high and low for a good machine shop who does good work, i guess when they hear a young guy calling they just assume they are bsing them. But i've got 5 motors that will need machine work and will need to be long blocked but they just blow me off. Sorry for the rant just had to put that out there.

Lol why do you say i'm off my meds? Psh come on don't tell people that or else they won't know. Yeah i can't wait till i'm 40+ too, they seem to think young kids don't know wtf they are talking about. Some people should put the customer service back into these people who will remain nameless. And nice talking with you kyle, you seem like you know what your doing, i'll be looking forward to the call this week.
