I went to Roger Kraus yesterday and got an alignment done by Brandon. I am very happy with the way the alignment was done. Very precise and done by someone with 20 years of experience. Brandon even took the time to readjust the steering wheel position when he was all done because it was off very slightly. They have an excellent laser alignment machine and a ton of experience aligning cars like ours. If you need an alignment and want one of the best jobs around go to Roger Kraus in Castro Valley and make an appointment with Brandon.

It is a big secret and I will not tell anyone., Just kidding, I will get the sheet out of the car later and let you know. I did not go with the aggressive track alignment I have done in the past. I did do a pretty aggressive street alignment though. Camber in the front is now very visible.
I had it aligned with the 20s on. I have been a long time customer of theirs and get better than public pricing. I believe the going rate for a car with coil overs is $180. You may be able to negotiate better pricing.
I watched Brandon's video of his incident at T-Hill, I will be thinking twice about driving 8/10ths, 9/10ths out there. I will be pretty careful out there.

Next time,if your real lucky maybe they can put the lift UNDER the floor pan. This place sucks.
I took my 84 there years ago to get the car lowered, the cars were so new back then nobody knew how to lowered them so I asked around and somebody mentions the above.Get the work done no problem.Several months later Im under the car changing the oil and find both sides of the floor were caved in were some hack missed the frame and lifted the car with the lift under the floor pan.Right after buying this car I put up in the air to get a look underneath and this damage wasnt there.I call the place, take the car down there and the owner comes out to look at the car with some derelict lookin dude. Both guys get down to look at the damage and the look the owner gave the other moron said it all.None the less, owner denied responsibility. Its been close to 20 years since this happened and I still get pi$$ed when I think about it.This place will never touch any of my cars. And they put a piece of LEATHER between the spring and frame to ,squeaked like you wouldnt believe.

Sorry to hear about that. I have had numerous cars here over the past 9 years and have had no issues. I hang out while alignments are done and other work and like the way they operate. I had my C5 Z06 aligned at least 6 different times there and have had them get me around 4 sets of rubber for that car alone. A lot of racers use these guys and wouldn't if they did not know what they were doing. Anyway again sorry to hear about your car.

Nice, I think you will like the feel of it on the track. On the Hoosiers, they advice you to run more camber then that, but try it and see how you like it. So far, they signed me up for 1 because that is where Charlie was, but they said they will move me up accordingly. I ASSume that I will be in 3 or 4 quickly. I can't do the whole "no open passing" thing.

I know but I am still driving around with 20s and Michelin PS2s. So I didn't want to wear the inside of these tires out while I drive around for the next couple of weeks. Also with a lot of camber and 20s on the front you have to watch out for bending the inside lip of those wheels on a pothole where all of the force would be located.
Anyway I thought it was a good compromise. No prizes or awards for the fastest laps this time. I will be driving pretty conservatively and safely in the open group. Probably still pretty fast I would guess though.
It is more expensive, but you get a ton and a half of track time. I think they still have a couple of slots open. It is right before the HOD "All Corvette" day though.

Last I talked to Ric, they were filled up. It never hurts to try, though!
Phil and Ric put on a great track day. Even running Advanced (middle group), you can get more than 3 hours of track time.
