Oh, you got one Tuesday, too, huh?

Mine was on 505 jso Allendale while coming back here from Chico. When I first spotted the light bar, I hit the brakes HARD (let's just say I was doing well over 90), and was Lidared at 87. The officer cut me a break and wrote me for 80 in a 70. I was in a hurry to get to that backup on I-80 west!

Tuesday was a busy day for the Lidar's. Saw them in use on 12 between 80 and suisun and on 680 between Marina Vista and Pacheco, and on Concord Blvd in Concord.

Yes sir... definitely the speed guns are out there! Now I have to watch for the CHP sitting on center divide & the shoulder of the road

Bad enough I drive with my one eye in rearview mirror... Now I need to scan for the Chippy in front & sides

I think it's time for me to slow down ... and learn to do the posted speed limit

Yea that would be the thing to do. I honestly don't have a problem with the citation I got. I was speeding period. I don't and never have believed in getting or getting a break just because you are or were LEO, BS. I was popped and I will pay my fine and do my traffic school like everyone else is expect to. Driving the safe designated speed and not violating any sections of the vehicle code is the best way to avoid these pains in the butt tickets.

Was last Tuesday designated bay area Lidar Day? Sounds like it. I'm going back up to Chico in a week and a half, and if another one is declared, I sure would appreciate a shout out.

But I think I'll be driving the Tahoe this time!
