I'm in! I will be using my last set of Hoosier R75's, I have already trashed two sets of R100's this year. Hopefully, I will be rid of this weird misfire by the time this event rolls around.

Looking forward to seeing all my friends from when I was living in SoCal.
Classify me in the Super Stock group. I have a C6 with V710 tires (+100 points). I also have a rear spoiler that is OEM, exactly like the ones on the ZHZ (Hertz rent-a-Vette). So the spoiler should not add any points. It doesn't any significant downforce, but I like the way it looks.
I'm already registered for the event (Saturday only) and for a transponder. Can I go into the SpeedVentures website now and change my existing registration to add the Corvette Challenge? I don't want to be registered twice!

I just sent an email to info@speedventeures.com, with a cc to Dirty Howie. I'm sure they'll help me get registered for the Challenge.

91.5 dB sound pressure level. Measured in a kiosk/tower on your right as you are climbing the hill between turns 5 and 6. You get three strikes and you're out.
A normally exhausted car will have no problem. Some aftermarket exhausts will exceed 91.5. Some of the NPP exhausts have failed also. Some folks can get a failing exhaust to pass by installing extra pipe that points towards the left side of the car. And some get quite exotic with extra mufflers, etc.

Jeez Bob, your C6 with V710's is classified the same as my 16 year old misfiring beater with scrubs and sway bars! You can bet I'll put an extra 4 coats of Formula V on so I can kick your a#%( I hope that doesn't get me banned again!) How was Thunderhill last Friday?

T-hill clockwise was really great. I had studied the turn-by-turn guide to the track from the PCA, so my first ever lap felt like I was already experienced running in that direction (absolutely no surprises). I was one of the fastest cars there all day. There were only 4 or 5 totally-all-out race cars I couldn't keep up with. I used to have problems with Miatas catching me through the curves - not anymore - and I could still smoke them down the straights, of course. I passed cars everywhere except in turn 9 and on the bypass.
Head-on Photos was there. I have pictures of my car with over 6 inches of air under 3 tires as I came over the top of the bypass! I'll show them to you on the 5th.

I HOPE they agree that my little rear spoiler is OEM. If not, then it will push me into Modified class with Dan and others who have all the great suspension mods.

My suspension mods (coilovers and bushings) put me into Super Modified with the corvette challenge so I'm up against modded C6Z's on hoosiers. In fact some C6Z's on hoosiers are classed below me in modified LOL. In any racing group they would be classified above a C5Z based on hp/weight ratio, but the corvette challenge is just for fun. I think it mostly comes down to the driver and tires anyway .

Best time was a 2:07.1, and I still wasn't going through most turns as fast as I could.
Here are links to pics of my off-track excursions coming over the top of The Bypass. (Having trouble pasting images into posts right now.)

You guys missed out on a great day. There was a threat of rain that never materialized. It just stayed partly cloudy all day, keeping the temperatures from getting too hot.
