Default FS: '00 C5 Forged 6.2L LS3 D1SC1 660rwhp $12K rebuildable - Dublin

**SOLD** to exz06ic

Added $2,500 in parts but dropping price by $2,500. Now asking $9,500 as it is.

It would be cool to put a body kit on your C5, racing suspension, and racing seats. Instead of starting with an expensive and complete C5, start with a high-horsepower fixer.

I'm tempted to replace a few body parts and fix it myself, but I'd like to move on to something else. Besides the repairs, what I'd do is add a flip drive, 3-disk converter, built differential, HD axles, pfadt coilovers and sway bars, and sparco seats. For body parts I'd use the ZR front fenders, tigershark nose, and specter works rear facia.

Car was spun, needs bumpers, left side fenders, door skin, lower rocker, radiator support, windshield, left lower a-arm, left headlight assembly, and right headlight cover. Hood can be replaced or repaired. Frame has 10mm dent where rear wheel hit it.

Started to part and quit, needs console and some interior parts, seats, windshield cowl panels. Seats in it are from another car and the C6 seats and brackets don't plug into the C5 electrical (they don't move).

Stock Suspension, no swaybars, C6 replica wheels are in poor shape (chrome is peeling from wheel cleaners). Front wheel bearings and a-arm bearings need replacement. Has elite engineering aluminum tunnel plate. Also a set of standard C5 wheels come with it (two with tires).

Synergy mafless tune
735rwtq @4,500rpm detuned (smaller blower pulley) due to belt slip and driving through the converter
660rwhp@6,000rpm/650rwtq@5,000rpm (with 800-1,000rpm converter slip)
Has single-disk vigilante converter, needs triple disk
More than enough fuel for the power
Tires break loose at 1/4 throttle in first. Drag radial tires break loose on the freeway. Requires throttle respect in the rain.

Engine
Shortblock professionally built by Bruce Melton @Powrmax
Diamond 11553 pistons with coated skirts -9:1 with 70 cc heads
Built on new LS3 block
Callies Compstar forged 3.62 stroke crank, 6.2 L
Clevite bearings
Cloyes timing set
Manley pushrods
LS7 Lifters
Synergy Custom Cam by Rick @Synergy
Heads professionally built by Dave's Engine Machining (Next to Synergy Motorsports)
Ported/polished LS3 heads
Comp 921 dual springs
Manley stainless valves
Long tube headers & Cats
Z06 TI Mufflers

Supercharger
Procharger D1SC1
8-rib pulley A&A setup and brackets
Reichard blower pulley

Fuel
Dual walbro fuel pumps in tank
Secondary pump activated by microswitch on gas pedal
1/2" fuel line
75lb/hr Racetronix fuel injectors

Transmission
FLP Level 5 4L65E Transmission
Vigilante converter
Stock 3.42 Differential
Stock axles

Left side looks good, needs a front facia and headlight cover.

Also needs a rear facia. The C6 seats are disposable.

Autometer Colbalt boost and fuel pressure gauges, added rings around the dash gauges.

AM/FM/CD and dual zone climate control, AC works great.

Aeromotive fuel filter, AN -8 (1/2") fuel hose.

Y-fitting to dual fuel pumps in drivers side tank.

Mentally stretch out the rpm range to 6,800 or 7,000rpm, there was 800-1,000rpm converter slip on the dyno. First run was 735rwtq at 4,500rpm.

8-rib belt holds to 15psi, should use a flip drive so the crank pulley pulls belt direct from the supercharger.

A&A Intercooler (two welded as one), could use a valance and right headlight.

Hood needs a few repairs. Intercooler pipe visible.

Drivers side door and rocker panel needs repair/replacement, needs rear fender and facia. Has euro taillights.

Underside view of drivers side frame looking back (straight).

Underside view of drivers side frame looking forward. Fiberglass cracks were caused by tow truck driver lifting car with jack.

Looking at undercarriage from center to back.

Diamond pistons.

Callies compstar H-rods.

Balanced pistons.

Callies crank in LS3 block.

Blueprinting the Callies rods.

4.060" bore.

Checking piston rock.

LS3 shortblock in the car.

Added the heads, closed 140# pressure, open 400# pressure, coil bind .150".

LS1 (bottom) vs LS2 throttle body comparison.

LS1 (left) vs. L92 manifold comparison.

L92 manifold on LS3 engine.

Complete forged LS3 with dual fuel feeds, 75lb injectors, D1SC1, 8-rib pulley, remote coilpacks.

Does drive around the block.

Yes, not just the entire vehicle as one part but all the Corvette parts including nuts and bolts in my garage.

You could take your $25K Vette and add $3,500 in a body kit, add racing seats and racing suspension and have a $27K Vette. Or you could do the same thing to this $12K Vette, but it will be forged and supercharged LS3 with much higher horsepower potential. LS3 6.2L all forged rotating assembly, 921 dual springs, much higher horsepower potential. With the right blower setup and no changes to the fuel system, based on the first Synergy pull of 735rwtq @4,500rpm, I'm thinking the potential should be in the 900FWhp range. Synergy dyno is not an optimistic dyno either.

Edit: Corrected, rw to FW 900fwhp based on +100rwhp if belt slip is fixed, or 764rwhp * 1.18 (18% drivetrain loss) = 900fwhp

A bonus part included is a new in box Innovators West 10% overdrive 8-rib crank pulley ($550). Also the Callies crank is keyed for a supercharger application, it's not a stock cast iron drilled crank like most out there.

I guess it would look better with some clothes on.

I think I should order some ZR body parts...

Can you tell me the size of the C6 replica wheels? I have the C6 replica style wheels on my '99 coupe though in the stock size. Your's definitely look bigger. Thanks.

Bolting on a few body panels, ZR style front/rear bumpers and front fenders. Price remains the same.

I've decided I don't want to monkey with the body kit much further. I spent $1,500 on the bumpers and front fenders.

I've purchased a rear quarter panel, door shell, and rear fender liners, and installed a radio bezel and console to complete the majority of the interior for $950.

That's about $2,500 I've added, so makes sense to raise the price from $12K to $14,500? No not me.

Price is now $9,500 as is.

Yup, if I add up the value of the parts it's worth more than my asking price. Pricing it low because I'm done with it. Someone is going to be happy, it's a well setup project to make into their own.

LS3 - saw a post for a largely stock motor for $5,500 but this one is completely forged - $5,500
A&A Supercharger kit - $6,500 new but this one is used ($3,000?)
8-rib kit - new $1,000 (used $500?)
Innovators West 10% overdrive crank pulley - new in box $500
ED ZR body parts - $1,500
FLP Level 5 trans - new $3,500 (used $2,000?) about 10,000 miles

That's $13,000 in parts not counting the rolling chassis or other items (gauges, dual fuel pumps, euro lights, second set of wheels, Z06 cam, etc.).

The car itself has about 42,000 miles.

Forgot to mention, I also bought a replacement rocker panel in addition to the mentioned door shell and rear quarter.

You looking for Cash or Trade...or both? I have a 99' First Year Copper Hayabusa (14K miles) with some extras ($1500 exhaust) Corbin Seat and Storage compartment. That I just picked up for $8K on Memorial day..belonged to 70 year old guy who bought it new in 99'...thing is in great shape. It has the Powercommander IIIUSB, and I have a barely used SHOE RF111 helmet, jacket, gloves, back protector, that would come with it as well as the stock exhaust parts that I took off. The bike stock is faster than modded C5 and turns 9s stock. The exhaust I put on dropped 30lbs and added 15hp.

Motorcycles are not good for me. I rode one once, and I had one motorcycle wreck. Cost me an ACL.

70 year old guy with a Hayabusa? Was he thinking his time was up?

btw - exz06ic is asking to look at it, and to be first in line.

The guy owned 10 bikes and had just traded it in for a 2011 Yamaha 1400. He said he needed something that sat a little more upright. I complimented him that it was good he could make it to 70 before he needed something more upright...is when he told me he had 9 other bikes. LOL.

Good luck selling it.
