My wife tested her wedding ring on the glass and proved the diamond is real. I want to tint all three windows and not sure if it would show in the tint. If I have to replace the glass, is there anyone out there that could lend a hand? I've never done this before and know I'd screw it up... Compensation is available, $$$, beer, dinner, dinner and beer.
What year is the car? I just did this recently on my c5, it's EXTREMELY easy. I have very limited knowledge in regards to working on cars and this was cake. Search for the video on how to replace the window motor and regulator- you don't even have to deal with the hard part. 30 minute job, 45 if you're being extra careful.

Thanks, I have a 05 C6. Haven't been able to locate a DIY on the Forum. I'm one of those guys that if it can go wrong it will. I think I'll get this one though. Wish me luck... Thanks again

I'm kidding about her doing it to see if her wedding ring was a real diamond. I'm not kidding that her wedding ring put a nice scratch and gouge in the window. She did it as she was reaching for the seat belt. I've been to a couple of Tint shops and they say the glass needs to be replaced to be tinted. If not, the scratch will be seen even more pronounced than without the tint. She refuses to believe the glass needs to be replaced. Oh well....
The only consolation I can offer is I replaced the driver's side power window motor/cable on my ex-gf's Miata...quite easy to do...granted it was a simple miata, but once you pop off the door panel, I'm willing to bet that removing/bolting in a new piece of glass is pretty straightforward. Hope you find a good DIY write up...that would be very helpful.

Thanks, I looked on this Forum for a DIY and no luck. I'll try the world Wide Web and see what it has to offer.
