Default Willie Woo had himself a day today!

Today Sonoma Raceway ran a drag racing event that was well attended. Some of you may have been there, and many folks in our part of the state know, or know of, Willie. Willie runs in the Pro class, which had approx. 60 cars in it today. It's always very competitive, with a lot of experienced drivers and fast cars.

Willie's C4 typically runs 10.3s and 10.4s. Today he and his car were both very consistent. Willie advanced through 5 rounds to get into the finals, where he ran a 10.45 on a 10.42 dial in. He won this race on the line. I'll leave it to him to fill in more details if he wants to.

I just wanted to brag on him a little bit- congrats Willie! Well done.

Thanks Les and Keith. It was a good day. The car was consistent all day and my lights overalll were very good including a .001 in the 4th round. I had one really lucky round (usually need one of these to win a race). I fell asleep on the tree badly in the 3rd round. When I took off I knew I was done until I saw my win light. My opponent had gone red -.013. After the "gummie" I had a feeling it would be my day. It was a long day. Left at 6:30 this morning and didn't come home until 7:00. It definitely beats getting home at 2:30 though! After I got home, I treated the car to a well deserved oil change. Thanks again for the support. The $800 purse will go a long way to paying off past debts (right Les?) Willie

Congrats Willie. You've proven hundreds of times that when you're on your game at the line, the poor guy in the other lane is usually headed back to the trailer.

LOL, I missed that the first time. The check is in the mail, right?

Love the video. I've watched it a few times.
