Which dealer for warranty work/service in the sf bay area?
Just purchased a pre-owned ‘15 and I have some issues I want to address in my car including:
- telescopic steering wheel not working
- clutch shudder in first/reverse
car is out of the 3 year bumper to bumper (2015 model), but still has the powertrain warranty.
Was wondering if anyone knew a dealer in the bay that may be more lenient and do the work under warranty for good graces.

Gave Abel a call and the service tech said they've never heard of the clutch shudder/chatter issue in 1st and reverse. This worries me a bit as doing a google search of "c7 corvette clutch shudder" returns a dozen posts of people having the same issue since 2014.
They suggested changing the clutch and transmission fluid. I'll do that this week and see if the issue goes away.

Abel Chevrolet in Rio Vista is the ONLY dealer you should let touch your Corvette. Rich and his crew are the best.

The love for Abel on here is bordering on cultish. New to corvette, I took the advise here and went to Abel. 70 miles one way. Normally I do my own work, but in this case I didn't want to tackle the job on a new (to me) car. I won't go into the details, but I was underwhelmed for sure. The problem is there aren't many good mechanics out there with the proper attention to detail. Of course under warranty you're stuck. Sorry I can't give a recommendation. Good luck with your issues.

It's a sad state for Corvette service in NorCal. 2 dozen Chevy dealerships and only one is considered safe to take a Corvette to.

Abel just goes that much further above and beyond that there's little reason to go anywhere else.

Another reason, and for me a HUGE reason is seeing the various posts where customers corvettes were being STOLEN from the dealer's lot! So security of your vette is a huge thing if you ever have to leave the car.
