Default Need to experience Borla X pipe

Hi folks

i have a C7Z06 and am considering a Borla X pipe. Before I take the plunge I want to hear it on a car at idle, under load etc. YouTube videos don’t really help.

Anyone located in the SF Bay Area with an Xpipe willing to spend 10 mins showing off your car? (I can obviously come to you)

Thanks!

I'm a ways away, Moraga. I can tell you I have tried the Corsa which to me sounds meaner and raspier. I have been running the Borla for the past 2 years. It sounds great and is a tenth quicker in the quarter than the Corsa.

Moraga is kinda close to where I'm at (Hayward). Probably about a 30 min drive on a weekend. How do you like the Borla? Is it a deep rumbly tone like the C6 Z06 on open valves? I preferred the Borla to the Corsa because I wanted it to sound like a muscle car!

What other work have you done on your car?

You're right, Hayward is not too far away. We can arrange a time for you to come over. It's louder than the stock setup with the valves open. I run around with fuse 42 pulled so the flaps are always open. I ported my throttle body, Halltech, Borla x-pipe, Granatelli tank and Hoosiers.
