Default 2014 info screen

Have had problems with the info screen for a long time. Have been to 3 GM dealers all 3 charged me around $200.00 said it’s fixed and sent me on my. Made it home and problems reoccurred all most the next day. Lost faith in the dealerships so took it to the independent shop that works on my wives car. They found loose HDMI cable, replaced it , there tech that worked on it is also a watch builder so he used some of his skills to put a small solder tack so there is no more movement and problems solved.

Interesting that GM used an HDMI cable. I would have thought some kind of proprietary wiring harness would be used.

Apparently it’s a short cable that plugs into the screen that comes from a module under the center console. They showed me the cable that they replaced and it was a short cable. All I know know is 3 GM dealerships did not fix it and now it’s fixed.
