Default Why no love for Vipers?

A 2002-2003 can be had for $5-10,000 less than a base C6. How come no one ever hears about them? Are they just bad cars or what? I like em because the styling for the GTS models is gorgeous and you get that sense of exclusivity that doesnt come with many cars. Why is there no love for Vipers?

Maybe it's because this is a Corvette forum.

yes this is a corvette forum, but it is also a place for car enthusiasts. People who love all kinds of cars, and dont just sit back and think that corvettes are gods gift to the automobile industry

Default viper

There was an 05 viper conv that came to the track (auto x ) last summer. The brakes were not that great. The handleing felt like it was so heavy that you were going to fly off the track. I will say one thing at the last straight i thought wow this is a supercar period. I mean after 60 it pulled like no other. I took the guy for a ride in my z06 (dropped 1.75 inches and 406 rwhp and the guy was amazed. I was just happy to ride in a supercar

I got to drive a viper up at road america last year and it was an amazing car. Then I rode along with a guy who actually knew what he was doing...beyond amazing. I doubt I'd trade the vette for one, but I'd love to get one someday.

I have a love for Vipers. Just sold mine a few months back. 2002-2003 Vipers are totally different from each other. 2002 is a Generation 2 and 2003 is a Generation 3. Two completely different animals.

The 2003-up Vipers are not holding their value as well as the Gen-II cars.

I have mad love for Vipers. I love the 96-02 GTS styling better than anything out there. A GTS lowered with 20/20 Hres looks as good as anything on the road. I'd take one over a C6 anyday.

I love the Viper looks & badass V10. If I had a bunch of money to spend, I'd love to get one in addition to my Corvette.

Default vipers regressing

THERE IS REPUTABLE AUTO MAGAZINE THAT EVER GIVES A VIPER A
GREAT REVIEW.

the viper has slipped so much because it is primitive by today's standards----brutal,hot,dangerous,cramped,etc.

chrysler never really did anything with it after initial splash.
if chrysler is sold, the very first thing that goes will be the viper---
low volume, low profit, low prospects for the future.

get a new one, keep it stored, someday it may be a novelty collectable.

don't believe how bad the viper is? get a demonstration drive, roll up the
windows, get up to 65 miles over a winter ravaged freeway, and before you do call your friends as to the hospital you'll be at and where they should send the remains of your viper for salvage.

maybe a corvette or porsche guy will pull off to rescue after they are
done laughing

I agree! I think most would trade their Corvette for a Viper if given a chance. The Viper is still more expensive and less obtainable than the Corvette!
