That is one of the sickest projects I've ever seen! Love the concept, and look forward to watching your progress. Thanks for the pics. Oh yeah, put a big bowtie on that 'Stang when you're done.

Today was tough and long, worked most of the day on my buddies 10 point cage in his talon while he worked on the stang. We got a handful of little projects started and moving in the right direction. Hopefully his car should have one more day of work than I can get this project moving. So far I'm happy and really looking for the final product, should be a completely stupid street car. :drive:

I'm still around, it takes alot of time when your trying to do everything from scratch or build most of your stuff. We're really happy with the progress even though its moving slow.

Threw together the upper IC pipes, they are done except for beading the ends.

Awesome job.

This might be a dumb question, but with the intercooler inside, how are you going to cool it? Water? Ambient Air?

Are you going to insulate/shield that upper IC pipe?

It runs to a 3000hp water to air IC.

I've got alot more pic's coming. I did ALOT of work today and made alot of progress. Motor is done @ the machine shop and just needs to be taken to Jackson to get the CNC o-ring installed.

Sway bar was orginally installed but the bar was too low and we couldn't get the tires tucked up under the car enough so I cut it out and started fresh. I raised the bar about 2" and made some custom plates. The suspension will basically bottom out on the frame rails now. I may need to move the front upper control arm points up slightly.
Passenger side swaybar mockup

Overall Mockup shot

Making the sway bar plates

Tig - Swaybar cup weld

Swaybar end plates finished ready for installation

Mig - Swaybar mount weld

Just got battery - will mockup mounts and box this weekend

Mockup for custom window net from M & R products, template leaves tomorrow - turnaround time 1 week

New pedals with tab for pull style carb cable

Interior shot

Driver side motor starting to look like a motor

Driver header collector shot - getting closer

Rear crossmember - thru floor design

3000hp intercooler under dash :jest:

Shifter blockout plate

Rear cage X bars to be installed this weekend

rear cage underside 2 x 3 outriggers - rear crossmember

Rear torque box plates

Awesome... is there some template/specs you're following to know where to do all of this?

I'm confused how the rear sway bar does anything... is it just a solid bar linked the the rear axle w/ hiem joints? How does it move?

Some of the chassis modifications look similar to what my buddies at Performance Autosport do when buiding Griggs spec road race mustangs. Very cool.

No, just going off the seat of the pant. The SFI book is a big help. The SFi book tells you where the bars need to be and a couple of variations that will pass tech as well as tube sizing.

The sway bar is more for keeping the chassis level @ the launch. The sway bar moves up and down just like any other sway bar, when you leave, the sway bar holds the chassis level. To adjust it, you find the center point of the front and jack it up at the very center and adjust the heim joints until the front is level. When you go to the track and you see cars pulling one wheel or one wheel is higher than the other, this sway bar would elminiate that. The cars with wheels up and a level nose run this type of bar.

Some of the chassis modifications look similar to what my buddies at Performance Autosport do when buiding Griggs spec road race mustangs. Very cool.
Yeah, I assume everyone follows the SFI rules in some way or another.

Dude...that is the biggest compliment I can think of for you. I just can't imagine anyone person taking on that type of task...let alone a whole crew of people.

Did I forget to say you've got moxie as well?

Very sick man.

Best wishes on your build bro. Haven't seen you on Tech either(this is jamie- V-seriesTech)... the mustang looks sick. Great idea...can't wait to see more of it. Hats off to you bro.

As far as your vette,...any pictures of that thing available? I remember your engine bay looked all buisness.... i'd like to steal an idea or two.

Pm if you could...or respond here, when you can.

Again, best wishes, peace out dude.

-grin-

I love the short-wheelbase and the room the Mustang offers to play in.
It looks like your gonna have a great time runnin that beast

-note to self:
Don't pick on the white mustang with alla tubes inside at a stoplight

Useda be a guy runnin at LACR years ago with a Rat powered '67 Mustang ..was a monster, ran quicker than a black SOHC powered '67 that showed up one day at Bakersfield when the two of them were there.
