The Lexus LF-A WILL be made and is going to be a **** kicker! 
Unfortunately Toyota seems to care more about mass production profits than producing a flagship for the Toyota line, although there have been some very promising rumors about using the 5.0 V-8 from the Lexus IS-F for a '09 Supra.
