I still don't believe it. In the Expedition I had, the CC was not a toggle switch that was either on or off. You did have an off button, but cutting the truck off disengaged the CC. The next time you cut it on, the CC was not on.

You'd probably recognize the screen name of every truck (and car) owner in those two pics.

Maybe not every one of them. But I imagine a few of those PSD's have some of my accessories on them.

The problem, as I understand it, was the power to the recalled switch was controlled by the steering wheel control- whether the cruise was functional or not. The cruise was inop because the memory had to be reset when you restarted the vehicle, but the power was still on until it was shut off on the steering column switch. Hey, I said it was a lame design.

The interim fix, while waiting for parts, was to disconnect the power to the cruise control. Some owners just pulled the fuse instead of making the shop trip- which triggers the ABS light and disables the guage cluster.

didnt expect so many toyota lovers and GM bashers on a vette board.

I was wondering though, Motor Trend says that the 07 silverado 1500 had been out too long to qualify for truck of the year but there both 2007s. Why did th Tundra qualify but the Chevy/GMC didnt?

Good question. Maybe due to the old motor and 4 speed auto. The 1500 just cant compete with the newer trucks! Titan and Tundra all own the 1500 in basically every performance category. The one thing the Silverado does have is the interior. +1 one on that! Very nice interior I must say.

you're forgetting a few other key points- frame, chassis, 4WD system... it's a pretty long list. An uber-motor doesn't make a superior pickup by itself- the Titan already proved that. Nor does it generate additional sales- the Titan proved that as well.

The Tundra was not out at the time!

Edmunds, Truck Trend, Canada Truck Trend, Motortrend, Boats and Crafts, etc....all have given the Tundra top honors when compared to Titan, Silverado, Dodge and F150.

You said the Tundra tow ratings was not 10,800 as I stated. Go back and look at what the tow ratings are!

Reading is fundamental. Go back and read the posts. I quoted the GVWR, which is exactly what I stated. You said you'd give me $1000 if it wasn't 10,800. I never mentioned tow ratings. Apparently, you are not a man of your word.

[edit]I'll even save you the time of looking. Here are the relevant quotes.
