3800+ pounds. 3.3 to 60 from 470 hp.

I guess GM better make an AWD vette.

What's the fastest 1/4 for a stock C6Z? 10.98 @ 129?

Considering the GT-R is an auto and has launch control, I don't suspect they'll get much more out of it once the public gets ahold of it. Making the C6Z about 9 MPH and half a second faster.

"The Corvette Z06 isn't even close. Once impressive, its 4.1-second 0-60-mph run and 12-second quarter-mile at 121.8 mph are now well off the pace, which is why Chevy is creating the supercharged Corvette ZR1."

Except that we've shown that time to be extremely pessimistic.

Well, I suspect that you're quite wrong, since turbo cars are often the easiest to modify and a simple computer chip can add ungodly amounts of power.

RIF. Who said anything about modifying it? Where, in this entire thread, is there even a single mention about modifying anything????

I was referring to a stock car, genius.

And better add some braking power too, since that 3800 lb body stops two feet short of corvette's

Well, statistically speaking, take 10 corvettes and 10 GTRs and 10 drivers, do all possible permutations and I'll bet GTR will a lot faster after the results are averaged.

Impressive! But they need to learn how to drive a car with a manual and V8 torque before they make idiotic statemnts.

No, I think it is clear to everyone, that MSRP-wise, GTR is the new best $/performance.

As more and more automated clutch transmissions come out, I think we'll be seeing more and more launch control in the future. It sure makes a tough package to beat.

I still can't get over all that ugly though.

3.3 0-60 vs. 4.1 0-60, and for the same 70k?
