Nova question/poll
OK so this is the Vette Forum but I don't belong any Nova forums yet. Anyways since I've been a C3 Forum member forever and really respect everyone's opinion I'm posting here.
I've got an opportunity to buy a real 1970 Nova SS that has been garaged for the last 20 years by a private collector. Other than faded paint, everything else is sweet. It is 4 speed and has the HO 350 instead of a 402 but still original engine and all numbers match.
So the question is to buy for $7K or not?

I always loved the 1968-1970 Novas... Availability of the 396 in the Nova body style is very cool. I realize that this particular car has the L-48 small block, but it should still be a lot of fun to own, especially at that price. There really isn't a big call for small block 1968-1970 Novas from an investment standpoint; if that is your intention you should keep looking for a big block car.
I had a 1969 L-78 Nova a few years back. Sold to a gentleman in New York who still has the car. Great car... Lots of fun!
Regards,

Buy it!!! That's all my dad drove for years, and my first car was a '71 Pontiac Ventura - same as a Nova except with the Pontiac name. I absolutely loved that car!! My hubby found a '72 Ventura for me in perfect restored condition - would have given it to me for my birthday except he found the Vette at the same time. He asked me which one I wanted - no decision there!! However, I'm still thinking about getting that Ventura . . . . . . . . . .

1970 Nova SS 396 4 speed, numbers match for $7000. BUY IT or give me the info. Mines a 67 SS, but I'd take a 70 SS 396.

I've got 2- about only way to really tell if real SS is in 72 5th diget is a K-(350 4 barrel) My Black pro-street is a K car. My 70 SS 396 doesn't have any documentation but does have factory 12 bolt 3:55 (only standard gear for 396-375HP cars) disk brakes, correct BB radiator, speedo cable is in correct place on firewall and the correct Neck on BB radiator, most important 4-speed. Buy the car asap!
