Ah, that is assuming that Chebby dealers won't get greedy with ZR1. Even the SA chebbies were jacking up the price of the new Z06s by 10-20K just a couple years ago.

<SARCASM>Only GM dealers price gouge</SARCASM>

It's a FREE MARKET. They can ask whatever they want. Don't like it? Then wait 6 months and get a better price.

So sick of people complaining about the free market price of a limited (for now) commodity.

There is one major difference. BMW will pump out as many M3's as they can sell and they will flodd the market quickly. ZR1's will be slow coming out of the hole.

Should be around 250k...

Great car and would have one if the price was right but rather have a Lambo or Ferrari for that range...

Local dealership here has an E92 M3 sitting on the showroom floor for 77K...and that's with a 10K markup. You could order one loaded for about 63K if you wanted to wait a bit for it. I did on my E46 and it was well worth it-I got mine for 60K with every option out the door.

have a good bud, who is a diehard bimmer/porsche guy, go drive a new M3 and he was luke warm about it. He said it was nice..but heavier and the price went up .....so he wouldn't be buying a new one.

The car is already over-priced at $55K....it should be around $40K max IMO.
