Default Nissan 370Z "Best sports car for the money"

Have you guys seen this new 370Z. Looks like alot of bang for the buck. Car and driver is calling it the best sports car for the money. I thought that was a title the C6 had. Or maybe a C6 would be "performance of a car costing twice as much". Either way it looks like Nissan has a winner, not too sure about the styling though.

Looks like a fun car... Nothing I would ever give up a vette for though...

IMO it looks like a typical Japanese sports car, boring.

Default I'll stick with my C6!

Went with a friend to look at them for him..... It may be cheaper than our C6's, but it certainly doesn't look as good, and doesn't perform as well (per car reviews, not from driving) IMO.

My friend is now looking for a 08-09 C6. The drive with me back from the Nissan dealer did it!

I had a 350Z before my vette. I liked it and it was fun to drive, but alas, I needed more power. The 370 is getting alot of good reviews and does have alot of technology packed in it. But with the prices unfortunately coming down on our vettes, it's still tough not going with the vette with it's sheer torque and power.

Corvette pricing keeps going up and up ..... a nicely loaded coupe goes for about 60k + now .

Nissan , with a sub 5 sec. 0-60 and high 13 quarter is a better "bang for the buck " than the C6 is .

The C6 is still a great deal ,but ......

If I didn't have a Corvette, and was looking for a cool car that was not as expensive as a Corvette, I'd be checking those out for sure. I think they are cool.

I prefer the styling of the 350 over the 370. Also, their auto 'rev matching' transmission takes some of the fun out of heel-toe driving.

considering it is less money, it could very well be, if that's all you can afford. no dispute with it being a good car, just not for me.

What he said. Many moons ago I owned a 260Z, 280Z, 280Z Turbo, and a 300Z. Fun cars, but I love the Vette.

Well maybe, except I don't drive my paper.

The datsun costs less AND performs less. How you end up valuing the difference in performance becomes the point of "discussion" so to speak.

I'll keep my vette.

I disagree, Infiniti/Nissan do a much better job protecting the value of their cars while Chevy is willing to discount well below MSRP.
370Z'S/G37's can easily top 35k and you're essentially getting a glorified RWD Maxima. The car is still heavy, handles sloppily, and is generally slow enough to get picked off by cars like the EVO I had prior.

At the 42k I paid for my C6 I get near supercar type performance and looks/attention for ~5k more than a G37. The platform development is also incomparable.

The lines are perfect IMO but it needs bigger meats in the rear to fill out the fender wells better. Then it needs more power to go with the stylish sporty looks. I think if the car had more power from the factory they would sell like hotcakes.

UGGGG The 370 is a POS IMO. Why would you buy it over a American made car
