Interesting to see the traps go up as the time went down. Thought it was usually hooking better gives better et but lower mph.

Isn't just barely into the 10's more Z06 competition than ZR1?

No ZR1 has been in the 10's bone stock that I'm aware of. If so fill me in? On street tires were getting to the lower limit with the rear wheel drive cars dipping into the high 10's.

I didn't say ZR1. I said Z06. I see 10.98 @ 128.9 on the "bone stock on stock tires" Z06 fast list. The new Viper is great competition for the Z06!

While we are all enthusiasts here, if the ZR1 guys wanted to know what the Vipers were running Im sure they would still visit the other cars section or go onto the Viper forums.

LOL.....AFAIK the highest trap speed a bonestock ZR1 has touched is 131 mph and it hasnt hit a 10 yet[we all know it can with the right conditions]. Whereas the fastest trap for a Viper is 130 mph by the same driver that ran this record in the convert Viper and the Z06 record.

Also this particular run is an off the showroom 114 miles on the odo Viper vert and it still hit a 10.9 @ 129mph. Its gonna get faster once broken in. To say the Viper is Z06 comp and NOT ZR1 comp is ludacrous. It competes with both of them imho wether we like it or not.

Well I didn't want to have to say if but JMC5 is correct, Z06's and Vipers are probably a better comparison as they are the only 2 cars that have EVER went 10's in the 1/4 mile factory stock.

I don't really think that, I just said it to make a point! It just amazes me the arrogance of some people when they feel they have something elite weather it is or not! They think they are special because a car they own supposedly is, its a joke!

Most people feel the ACR Viper is the real exotic between the ZR1 and ACR, with the ACR being the king of Nurburgring etc, and now a Stock Viper into the 10's at about 130 mph another accomplishment the ZR1 hasn't attained! I don't agree that the ACR is superior or anything like that, but on a race track its every bit the car the ZR1 is and more IMO, not to mention looks wise its unreal. So when I see a comment like the one JMC5 made about Vipers should only be compared to Z06's and not ZR1's I couldn't help myself! I see the same type thing on the Viper site, ******* the Vette when the vette could kick a lot of their butts, but since the Viper costs more than most Vettes they think that makes them better? You usually get that kind of bantor from guys who like to pose in fast expensive cars, they can't really drive them but they can own them and they talk big but when they show up at the track I put them on the trailer with that lowly 10 second Z06! Because they are POSERS who can't drive!

Their intent was to stir up trouble.

I decided to play their game and correctly point out that the new Viper isn't really competition for the ZR1 in a quarter mile contest.

I didn't admit anything I basically said by the specs the ZR1 should be quicker, but specs don't always bear out! I never said anything about being competitive because as it stands right now the ZR1 hasn't even been competitive for the Z06 in the 1/4 mile! And the Viper is faster than the Z06 as we have seen as I pointed out in the above post. What I should of said and its the truth, is all 3 cars are all so close in performance it would come down to a drivers race, and when I get my ZR1 I think it should be the fastest based on specs. I also know the guy who posted and he wasn't trolling or trying to stir up anything, you just took it that way as he is respected member of the forum, he was just telling you a Viper finally made it into the tens. I guess that rubbed you the wrong way?
