Default SVT Cobra real dyno numbers???

Im curious what the real dyno numbers of the "Terminator" mustang are, as i heard they under-rated the s*** out of them.

Ive even heard that stock terminators push 380 rwhp, even though they say they have 390 at the flywheel, which assuming a 15% drivetrain loss should push only around 330-335 rwhp.

Just curious

"The first step was to baseline our Cobra, and this particular '04 snakedidn't disappoint. Stone stock and with just over 2,000 miles on theodometer, our Cobra laid down 381.5 hp to the rear wheels at 6,000 rpm, revealing the factory's 390hp flywheel rating was a bit conservative."

That article says they are using a superflow dyno. Not sure how that relates to a dynojet which has seemingly been the standard. Article also didn't say what was the correction factor....or maybe I missed it. I had an 03 Cobra and though I never dyno'ed in bone stock, from what I've seen, the average rwhp/tq SAE on a dynojet was 365 range for both. Some higher, some lower obviously. One thing that immediately opened up my Cobra was a cat-back and cold-air intake. I think those two were a big bottle neck. I later added a smaller 3.2" pulley and dynoed 420rwhp/380rwtq SAE with me doing my own air-fuel tuning. Unable to tweak the timing with program I had at the time.

Later added a 2.9" pulley and tuning but on 91 octane in California. Managed 440rwhp/tq SAE on a dynojet. Later had the blower ported to Steig Stage IV specs and made 480rwhp/460rwtq SAE with a 2.8" pulley on 91 octane. Later on, on 93 octane fuel and an aggressive tune, it made 500rwhp/480rtwq SAE...dynojet. My ported blower, pulley, cai and cat-back cost about the same as the cat-back for my C6!

Just picked up an '04 w/ CAI, Pulley, Catback. Should get it on a dyno soon, but gonna get the blower, tb and plenum ported first. Expecting to see ~500RWHP... funny my '01Z had $12K or more stuck in it and was only pushing 470rwhp... Definitely different cars all around, but they are both fun to drive.

Should have thrown a centrifical blower on that LS6. You'd have been in the 500's for sure. I'm at 480rwhp with just the D1 and headers on a rich tune with an LS1. BTW Gorgeous Terminator. I so want one next to my c5. They are damn nice rides.

I like it. Always wondered how much the snub front end holds back that car at high speeds?

Most dyno between 360-380 rwhp. Guys are running 600rwhp with a blower swap on the stock internals.
