Default Freeze Plug Leaking....Pull Engine To Replace?

I inherited my mother's 89 Olds Cutlass. The V6 car only has 86k miles. A freeze plug on the back of the engine next to the firewall is leaking.

Is there some trick to replacing it, or does the engine have to be pulled?

Thanks

They are some good sealers you can use, try one of those before you decide to go after the plug.

Thanks for the reply Bob. I will indeed do that, but I suspect the plug will continue to rust and the problem will get worse at some point.

Anyone else care to offer an opinion?

I can't see it being that hard. Does the car have a front torque strut that holds the motor from rocking. If so, remove that and pull the motor forward.

2.8l, 3.3l, 3.8l, what ya got.
