Default 03-04 cobra modded vs h/c or procharged c5.. questions, maybe you can help

I am looking at adding another toy... I really am digging some of the 03-04 cobras, I like the verts to be honest.. yet I hate c5 verts I dont know why.

I am looking at 03-04 cobras that are around 500whp.. so ported stock superchargers and pulleys are changed..

ive had a procharged 98 c5 486rwhp, and also a procharged 02 z06 561 rwhp).. i was wondering before i drive 1 (its 20 degrees with 10 inches of snow on the ground in NJ)... the + and - of the 2 cars..

I want to keep the price under $20k.. I can get a modded c5 or a modded cobra.. I am torn as which to get. Never drove a terminator yet..

I am wondering if the interior of the cobra will feel cheaper than the c5s and also if the cobra is just going to handle like complete you know what, where as the c5s handle pretty decent..

its my understanding a 450rwhp vette will take a 510 whp cobra because of aerodynamics and weight.. this true?


PS. The backseats are pointless.. I will never use the backseat so 2 seater or 4 seater is trivial in my decision

RUGBY is dead on with the feel of sitting in ANY 94-04 Mustang vs a Corvette or even Camaro-Trans Am.

As for interior, they're both cheap.

My brother has an 03 cobra. Quality wise, about the same as a vette but it was comfortable and decently laid out. Easier car to "live with" for a DD. More room, higher entry, shorter doors etc.

A vette and a terminator are two different animals. I'm fortunate to have both. I would test drive a 03/04 cobra before making any decisions.

having had both, 98 C5 and now 03 Cobra.. since my C5 had the base FE1 suspension I'd have to say handling is about the same on both.. (Z51 and of course Z06 suspensions would easily take the Mustang) interior about the same, but the C5 does have more "gadgets" power.. of course the Mustang has more power and is easier to make more power, even more than your procharged Z06..

the HUGE difference you'll notice in a 500 rwhp Terminator (03/04 Cobra) is the incredible low end torque that a procharged engine just can't give you.. I'd guess that at low rpm's where a 500 hp procharged engine is giving you say 300 ft lbs torque to the wheels, an overspun Eaton supercharged engine will be handing out 500+ ft lbs.. and it's available right off idle..
