Why are used S4s getting hard to find?
Always been one of my favorite cars and I randomly search the listings to see what's out there- but lately the used late models are very scarce. Anyone know why?

Where have you been looking ?
Do you want the turbo 6 or the 8 cylinder ?
I see quite a few on the local NJ Craigslist, including some low mileage ones in the 10k range. (2000-2001)
I have been looking for a project E30 M3 with no luck (88-91)
I was thinking of picking up an older S4 instead, mostly because I think they will become collectible down the road and I have always liked them.
Then again, another vette would be nice, or a GTO, or maybe a 1st generation Camaro, maybe a Meyers Manx, the list could go on and on.
If only I had unlimited funds and time, along with a really big garage.

Safety Car
Before I purchased winter tires for my TL I was kicking the idea around of getting a used 2007/2008 back in late 2008 and it was pretty slim pickings back then as well..... I was also looking for an auto which is even more rare (I use my car for work which leaves me multitasking and my wife does not drive a manual). After looking and realizing the lack of rear seat room I kept the Acura.....I am seriously considering a 2010+ S4 for my next car when I retire my TL-S since the car has considerably more rear seat room along with rave reviews of the new supercharged V6.

The 2006-08 V8. They used to be all over the place here in SoCal, now you can barely find a sedan- more cabrios, but still less of those too.

I have a 2004 S4 as my daily driver now
I picked up a silverish 2004 Audi S4 last September for daily driving purposes. So far I love it and find my 2002 Z06 sitting in the driveway more often than not. While I have a manual it is obviusly not as quick as the vette ... unless it's raining! :-). However, I find myself usually driving for the lunch crowd, where before, I was alway riding with others! :-)
Now if anyone has one of those 2007+ RS4s that they want to pull some cash out of then I'm all ears for trading! :-)
PS: I was actually looking at M3s and M5s and heard about the Audi offerings by people comparing their M cars to Audi's S offerings. I figured I should check them out ... guess I did not do a very good job of only checking them out!
