Would you trade for a supra??
Simply put i met a guy that buys and sells Supras and other rare cars tonight, actually raced him and beat him. So we pulled over to BS a little and he was saying how the car is still on factory ECU and whatnot, The car he has is a 96 Supra TT Targa top black, 6 spd and tan leather, with a 3.1L, HKS single 71MM turbo, everything is upgraded besides the ECU which he is upgrading this week and putting bigger injectors in and tuning. Should be 700hp. Right now the car is ugly as hell with a body kit, but he is putting the stock body parts back on and wheels.
Would you trade .. I have a 04Z Black, with 430whp, cam, boltons, wheels... 54K..

Say what you will but if I found a good clean 93-97 TT manual with low miles and they wanted to trade I would in a heart beat.

Hell no.
Friend of mine has a Supra.
He's gutted the bejesus out of the interior (his instrument cluster is held on by zip ties) trying to lose weight, and it still weighs over 300 lbs more than my 'vette.
That, and there's gag...
What's the difference between a 600 hp, 800 hp, and 1300 hp Supra?
Nothing, they're all 13 second cars (cause they can't get traction).

I posted all this about a month ago, but here goes again!
The guy said make an offer. Owner knows nothing other than it is a 1997 with 60k something miles, 6 Speed with a upgraded Single Turbo and was REALLY FAST??? He Said It was running when it was parked THREE years ago. Hasn't been started since. The Tires, Brakes & Rotors I know are Toast. Not to mention the other million things that have to be addressed from the Car sitting outside in Illinois for three years. I have the Ability and $$$ to Rehab the car, I would have to make the time.
He never gave me a straight answer as to why it was Sitting for so Long. He just said "GOT LAZY".. I think he's hiding something!
Anyways I offered him $7k and he said No, initially but said he'd think about it...
I'm still waiting... I'm Rehabbing / Flipping a house up the street from him and the Supra, it's still sitting there to this day...

2222During the winter, I take a ride down the shore to a dealer who sells only special interest cars, everything from Lambos, Bentleys, to Hemi Mopars. Everything is pre-owned and he also has some older cars as well, including a black last generation Supra. I know these cars were hot back in the day but they have not aged well, this one just looked weird...
kind of like a Hundayi meets JC Whitney. I only walked over to it because I was curious about what it was. Just another case of Toyota cars having no heritage, just another antique appliance.
I used to own a 2nd gen Toyota Celica GT coupe and always aspired to the next step up, a Supra but that was in 1982 and maybe that made some kind of sense compared to an
82 vette but not today.
So don't even think about switching cars!

If it's clean and lower mileage, you'd be a fool not to. Big HP clean Supras sell for anywhere from $50,000-$80,000. No offense, but that is worth quite a bit more than your car. FWIW, KBB rates it at nearly $27K in good condition with 70,000 miles.

1st--you were apparently street racing ("we pulled over to BS a bit")
2nd--you would even think about a trade for a Supra
This clearly shows YOU are NOT smarter than a 5th grader

Since you even considered it I think that you should. You probably won't own a Corvette much longer anyway.
