Default Engine flooding question

Can a car with fuel injection get flooded or does that only happen with carburetors?
If "yes" then what causes it and how is it cured on an Audi A-6 twin turbo 2.7?
Thank you in advance,
Kurt

From what I have experienced FI cars when the accelerator is touched can act as though they are flooded, and the process to start them is just like starting a flooded carb car.

Hold the accelerator to the floor and crank it, this allows more air into the engine to help fire the fuel.

Thanks Bob
I will give that a try as it is giving me a hard time starting, acts like it is flooded, and then runs fine the rest of the day.

F.I. cars can "flood". The injectors can get dirty or just stick. It's usually a sensor problem and not the injectors.

Just purchased a new ECT (Engine Coolant Temp) sensor today and will try to install this weekend to see if it cures the problem.
Thanks for the replies.
