The Porsche 928 was one of the most futuristic cars of its era, finishing in 1995 with 350 hp and 170 mph. The downfall was that it did look a little like a squashed Pacer with Lamborghini Miura headlamps, lol.

not sure why you couldn't.. just rig up something like the clutch on an a/c compressor, yes you might have to make it handle more torque, but that's just a matter of engineering.

The Porsche 924 Turbo was a pretty solid base that begat the even better 944 in the '80s. Very well balanced coupes, economical too.

early SHO's had the 3.0 DOHC V6, and manual transmission only.. later you could get the 3.2 DOHC V6 with a manual, when they came out with the "bubble Taurus" in 96, the only SHO engine available was the 3.4 DOHC V8 with auto only, and a real let down from the V6 manual version.
